By adapting the traditional techniques of copper etching and watercolour and applying it to modern tableware, designer Anni Paunila has used delicate pastel colours and intricate light brush strokes for the sublime New Willow design. Stemming from the Oriental pattern known as Blue Willow which portrayed the story of two lovers who turned into birds, New Willow is a modern take on an aged and traditional theme.
