BITE OF BEAUTY
Taking inspiration from the traditional art of Chinese paper cutting (an ancient technique that has been used for 1500 years) and from a combination of finely detailed patterns found within Finnish plants, designer Liang Liang has managed to seamlessly blend together these two distant elements. Again, using tradition and nature as a theme, subtle shades of red, pink, and dark blue merge perfectly together in the form of exquisitely painted birds flitting from one flower pattern to another in their quest for food. With the understated pastel colours of the flowers, the delicate blue lines of the patterns and the intricate detailing of the birds, it makes for a refreshingly delightful and enchanting collection.
